Two Thorndale residents are facing multiple charges after police responded to a shoplifting call at Tractor Supply.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich said Sgt. Jody Tillery found a vehicle believed to have been involved in the Walmart parking lot and arrested two Thorndale residents on a variety of charges.

Christina Shelton, 39, was charged with unauthorized use of vehicle, possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), possession of a dangerous drug, out-of-county theft of property ($100 to $750) and fraudulent use of identifying info, less than five items,.

She remains in custody. No bond was assessed.

Wayde Patschke, 30, was charged with burglary of building, criminal mischief ($100 to $750) and out-of-county bond forfeiture-possession of a controlled substance (less than one gram).

He remains in custody on $28,000 bond.

ACCIDENTS—Police were called to a pair of traffic accidents during the week.

Vehicles operated by Ashley Gehring of Rockdale and Emilie Algenio of College Station were in collision at 5:32 p.m. Sunday near Dollar General.

Police said Gehring was transported from the scene by an AMR ambulance crew.

Damages were termed major to moderate.

Police responded to an accident at 3:14 p.m. Monday in the 1700 block of Murray in which it was reported a picked backed out and struck a parked car.

Driver was listed as Frank Burford of Rockdale and the unoccupied vehicle was registered to Veronica Pride of Rockdale.

OFFENSES—Lawn equipment was taken in a break-in of a Rockdale residence during the week, according to police.

Other offense investigations begun during the week included assault, violation of city ordinance, theft, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug.

CITATIONS—Police issued 46 citations during the past week, including 20 for speeding.

Non-traffic citations included animal at large, no rabies vaccinations, violation of junk vehicle ordinance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

SERVICE CALLS—Officers responded to 196 calls for service and there were 94 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
