Two musical events were presented last weekend from the jazz music at the Lone Star Jazz Festival to Christmas favorites and Christmas gospel at the Christmas at The Kay annual event. Top photo, the Communities in Concert Band kicked things off at The Kay Theater with “Sleighride” and followed with all the familiar and treasured Christmas tunes of the past. After intermission with food provided by the Matinee Music Club, the choir from the Rising Star Baptist Church (above) brought the crowd to their feet with spiritual music.
