Milam County Emergency Services District (ESD) No. 1 announced a new partnership with Allegiance Mobile Health, effective Dec. 30, to provide expanded emergency medical services across the county.

This collaboration ensures 24/7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulance coverage to optimize response times and improve public safety.

Under this agreement, Allegiance Mobile Health will station five ALS MICU-capable ambulances throughout Milam County as follows:

• Two ambulances in the City of Rockdale.

• Two ambulances in the City of Cameron.

• One ambulance in the City of Thorndale.

According to Milam County ESD President Kain Dodd, “As one of the largest providers of 911 ambulance services in Texas, Allegiance Mobile Health operates in 24 counties, covering a population of nearly 1,000,000 residents across 18,000 square miles. With a team of over 1,400 highly trained medical professionals, Allegiance responds to and cares for more than 250,000 Texans annually.”

“Allegiance has never had a 911 contract revoked for performance-related issues. Its operational model prioritizes community-focused, reliable and high-quality emergency services,” Dodd added.
