I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR—The swearing-in ceremony for Rockdale’s new mayor and city council members took place at Monday night’s city council meeting at City Hall. Sworn in were (L-R) new mayor Brett Boren, West Ward city council member Esmeralda “Esme” Ruelas-Olivares, and West Ward council members Brad Caffey and Kyle Walker.
