Rockdale ISD trustees named Shannon Pourmanafzadeh as the new Rockdale Elementar y School principal at a special meeting of the board on March 10.
Mrs. Pourmanafza deh received her teaching degree from Texas Woman’s University and her administrator’s certification from the University of Texas-Arlington.
She has 29 years of education experience, which includes teaching in elementary and middle school classrooms, development and implementation of curriculum and instructional support to campuses and most recently as an assistant principal.
She is a talented instructional leader with a passion for literacy, a supportive disposition and a desire to grow both teachers and students in a positive environment.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring someone with Mrs. Pourmanafzadeh’s experience and passion for learning to Rockdale ISD,” said Rockdale ISD Superintendent Denise Monzingo. “We are pleased to congratulate and welcome Mrs. Pourmanafzadeh to Rockdale Elementary School.”
