Brannon Industrial Group, the company contracted by the city council to collect trash, will start operating on Jan. 1. This week the company will start collecting the old dumpsters from the former company and replacing them with their own.
The week after Christmas residential green trash carts will be replaced. According to city secretary, Terry Blanchard, “BIG will try to replace residential customer’s carts on the day that is their normal trash day. However, please be aware that individuals from BIG may knock on your door if your trash bin is not outside.”
The new trash cans and dumpsters will be blue instead of the current green ones.
