Landowners partner with POSGCD effort

For the past two years, landowners in Burleson and Milam counties have partnered with the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) to place more than 45,000 acres of land into the District’s Aquifer Conservancy Program (ACP), according to Doug Box, spokesman.

“The board can use everyone’s help in getting the word out about the Aquifer Conservancy Program and the district,” Box said. “The goal is to protect the water in aquifers for many generations to come.”

Next regularly scheduled meeting will be Oct. 13. For more information visit posgcd.org.
