Farmers’ Market is set to start Saturday
The Rockdale Chamber of Commerce is bring back its farmers’ market on the grounds of the of the historic Coffield Stone Tree House at 1203 W. Cameron. The first market is set to be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. It is then scheduled for each Saturday until the end of October.
Vendors can reserve spaces for the market by calling 512-446-2030.
Cow-calf clinic is set for April 15
The 40th annual Central Texas Cow Calf Clinic will be held April 15 in the Milam County Youth Exposition Building at 301 S. Houston St. in Cameron.
There will be programs throughout the day with registration running from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. on the day of the clinic.
The cost is $20 and those attending are asked to call the Milam County Extension Office at 254-697-7045 for a meal count by April 13.
Ward Roddam to be honored at reception
The Rockdale Volunteer Fire Department plans to have a reception April 17 to honor Ward Roddam’s 31-year career with the department.
It will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Rockdale Fire Station at 301 Wilcox St.
