Health screenings are coming to Patterson

Residents living in and around the Rockdale area can learn about their risk for cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes and other chronic, serious conditions with screenings by Life Line Screening next month in the George Hill Patterson Community Center

The screenings will check

• The level of plaque buildup in your arteries, related to risk for cardiovascular disease, stroke and overall vascular health.

• HDL and LDL Cholesterol levels

• Diabetes risk

• Bone density as a risk for possible osteoporosis

• Kidney and thyroid function, and more

Consultants will be there to tailor packages for each individual.

Call 1-877-237-1287 or go to www.lifelinescreening. com.

Preregistration is required for the Sept. 16 event at the center at 609 Mill Ave.

Historical grant applications available

Due to a donation from the Hotel Occupancy Tax funds by the city of Rockdale to the Milam County Historical Commission’s Preservation Grant Fund, a Rockdale Preservation Grant is now available for historic preservation.
