Hanover Homecoming picnic this Saturday
The 65th annual Hanover Homecoming Picnic will be held on Saturday, beginning at noon at the Community Building at the corner of FM 2095 and FM 3242. There will be a business meeting before the covered dish meal at noon.
Visit and meet old friends and make new ones and enjoy good food. All are welcome. Please mark your calendar for the fourth Sunday in September.
Modesette reunion set for October 2nd
The annual Modesette Reunion will be held on Sunday, Oct. 2 at the Thorndale VFW Hall on Moerbe Street starting at 10:30 a.m.
The noon meal will be a covered dish luncheon and attendees are asked to bring the dish of their choice. All paper goods, eating utensils, bread and drinks will be furnished.
Attendees are also asked to bring photos of past reunions or any family functions you’d like to share to add to their albums.

MFVD pancake supper fundraiser October 8th
The Minerva Volunteer Fire Department will hold a pancake supper and silent auction fundraiser on Oct. 8 from 4 to 8 p.m. Plates are $10.
