Reception Oct. 17 for

marketing director

The City of Rockdale will host a meet and greet reception for Cassie “Caz” Muske, its new marketing director on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

The meet and greet is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Community Room, 107 North Main Street.

Muske, who started working for the city Oct. 1, will complete her master’s in public administration from Penn State University in the spring of 2019, she said.

Her duties for the city are two-fold. She will handle distribution of the City’s Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund for tourism related ventures and direct the social media platforms, which includes branding.

Muske worked for the city of Hewitt as the parks and media coordinator, which involved marketing, working with various city clubs and organizations and coordinating media.

She and her husband Brenden Muske will reside in Cameron with their 10-month-old son, Lincoln James.

“I hope the residents of the community will come out to educate and welcome me and tell me what I can do for them,” Muske said. “My job is to show everyone how great Rockdale is. Given its location, one hour away from three major cities, Rockdale is a great place to live, work and play.”
