Lions Soup Suppers
change dates, location
The Noon Lions Club’s annual January soup suppers are changing a bit for 2020.
Allen Sanders, club president said instead of holding the tasty events every Thursday during the month they will be scheduled only twice, Jan. 9 and 23. Each of those is a Thursday.
There’s also a new location, the Rockdale Junior-High Commons. Hours are 5 to 7 p.m.
Cost is $8 per person and includes soup, roll or cornbread, tea/water and dessert.
Sanders said there will be three choices each of the two nights.
Chefs will prepare three soups from the following list:
Chuck wagon stew, chicken and dumplings, potato soup, tomato soup, taco soup and broccoli and cheese soup.
Funds raised will go toward Lions projects to benefit the community.
