CAMERON—Nine persons were sentenced recently in 20th District Court, as follows:
• Justin Douglas Young, 24, Cameron, 14-year prison term after pleading guilty to aggravated assault with deadly weapon-family violence.
• Christopher Michael Garcia, 42, Rockdale, five-year prison term, $3,656 restitution to the victim after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of firearm by felon, enhanced.
• Dayana Batrice Johnson, 36, Cameron, four-year prison term after pleading “open” to the court for bail jumping–fail to appear.
• Ruben Vega Jr., 48, Cameron, three-year prison term, ordered to pay $6,395.75 to the victims after pleading guilty to burglary of habitation.
• Denny Wayne Gipson Jr., 37, California, Missouri, was placed on three years deferred adjudication, ordered to successfully complete anger management course, fined $2,500 after pleading guilty to aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
• Sanika La Shawn Lewis, 39, Killeen, was placed on two years deferred adjudication and fined $2,000 after pleading guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, attempted tampering with evidence.
• Humberto Valdez Mar, 43, Cameron, one-year county jail term, probated for two years with standard DWI probation including 168 days in the county jail as a condition of probation and fined $1,500 after pleading guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, DWI.
• Jose Manuel Balderas, 36, Houston, six-year prison term, probated four years, fined $1,500 and ordered to pay $60 restitution to DPS lab after pleading guilty to DWI, third or more.
• Jared Wayne Fowler, 40, Liberty, two-year prison term, $180 restitution to DPS lab after pleading “true” to a motion to revoke probation for an original possession of controlled substance (4-200 grams).
