Samraj Gill is the valedictorian and Mason Willard is the salutatorian of the 107-member Rockdale Junior-High eighth-grade class of 2020.
There will not be an eighth grade promotion in the RJH Gym as usual, due to the COVID-19 situation, according to Principal Kelly Blair,.
“We will recognize our eighth-grade students as well as our sixth and seventh-grade students, with end of year awards at 5 p.m. Thursday on Facebook,” she said.
Gill is the son of Shamsher and Rajman Gill. He compiled a 4.3000 gradepoint average in his threeyear RJH career.
Willard is the son of Eric and Ashley Willard. He compiled a 4.1273 gradepoint average in his three year RJH career.
GPAs of over 4 points are possible due to weighted honors courses.
