No change in school ‘letter, number’

The official 2017-18 Texas Education Agency (TEA) “A-F” Accountability Ratings were released last week and for Rockdale ISD, there’s no change from the preliminary numbers reported in a Reporter story last Aug. 23.

Rockdale ISD received a “C” and a number grade of

74. It was the first time the annual ratings included letter and number grades in the annual school report cards.

Steps taken during the school year to improve were to be discussed during the RISD school board meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Central Administration Building.

Grades for other Milam County school districts:

• Milano, B, 80.

• Thorndale, B, 83.

• Cameron, C, 77.

• Buckholts, Met Standard, 77.

• Gause, Met Standard, 81.
