New COVID-19 cases in Milam County totaled 11 over the past week, up from 519 one week ago to 530 as of Wednesday morning.

County Judge Steve Young said there have now been two cases of the virus reinfection in the county.

THE NUMBERS—Here are the numbers for the past week, measured Wednesday to Wednesday.

• Cumulative cases—530, up from 519.

• Active cases (PCR test)— 12 up from six.

• Confirmed (antigen) cases—92, up from 75.

• Monitored—90, up from 83.

• Hospitalized—two, no change.

• Deaths—Seven, no change.

TESTING—Free antigen (93 percent accurate) testing continues as follows:

Wednesday—Milano, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Milano Fire Station.

Thursday—Cameron, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Cameron Fire Station.

Friday—Buckholts, 8 a.m. to 12-noon, 111 West Main.

Monday, Rockdale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., former Richards Memorial Hospital.

Tuesday—Thorndale, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Fireman’s Hall.

CHARTS—The Milam County Health Department also released three graphs which showed a continuation of past statistics.

It shows, on PCR (most accurate) tests, four-fifths of the cases continue to be in Cameron (50 percent) and Rockdale (29 percent) zip codes.

A new graph on antigen (slightly less accurate but quicker) testing shows 39 percent in Cameron’s zip code and 24 percent in Rockdale.

A new antigen cases by age graph reveals the age group with the highest amount of cases is ages 40-49, with 10-19 second, followed closely by 50-59.
