Senior Center seeking volunteers, donations

The Rockdale Senior Center is in need of volunteers on Mondays to deliver Meals on Wheels twice per month.

They are also asking for donations for their Angel Tree and seeking people to adopt a senior or buy items from their wish list.

Heavenly Treasures half price days in April

Heavenly Treasures will have two special days in April, on the 5th and 19th.

This includes all merchandise except for what’s in the cases. The shop is open Tues,

KCs holding annual fish fries on Fridays

The Rockdale Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Lenten fish fries on Fridays through April 14, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. or until sold out.

The plates include fried fish, homemade French fries and hush puppies, their famous KC coleslaw, pinto beans and all the trimmings.

Plates are $12 and they will be for drive through only at the KC Hall.

Homecoming set for Sunday, June 12

The Rockdale Homecoming Association has held their first meeting of the year to plan for the annual Citywide Homecoming to be held Sunday, June 12.

AA meeting weekly at Crossroads Church

Rockdale Peace Seekers AA meetings are at Crossroads Bible Church, 811 Burleson St.

The meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

Narcotics Anonymous meeting Thursdays

Narcotics Anonymous meets every Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.

A&M Club holds muster dinner Wed., April 21

The Milam County A&M Club will be holding the Annual Aggie Muster on Wed., April 21 at 44 Farms in Cameron. The Muster will begin at 7 p.m. starting with dinner, followed by the speaker and roll call for the absent.

The meal will be provided by the Milam County Aggie Moms Club. The speaker is Mr. Bob Walker class of 1958.

All former students, parents of current students and Class of 2026 newly accepted Aggies are encouraged to attend and participate in one of Texas A&M’s most cherished traditions.

Tickets are $12.00 and can be purchased from Muster Chairman Stephen Fuchs 254-482-0052, at Ideal Poultry in Cameron.

Milam County Girl Scouts acts of service

Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) are celebrating their centennial, the 100th anniversary of the first Girl Scout troop formed in our area in 1921.

“As part of our centennial celebration, Milam County Girl Scouts have chosen to perform service in Milam County. We are looking to do 100 acts of service in our county.
