American Legion Turkey Shoot May 15
American Legion Post 358 will hold a turkey shoot on Sunday, May 15 at 2534 North FM 487.
Food and drinks start at 11 a.m. with the shooting competition starting at noon.
Twelve-gage with maximum barrel length 32” including choke. Ammunition provided.
Cost is $5 per round with 12 shooters per round.

MMC represented at District IV meeting
On Saturday, April 30, Matinee Musical Club President as well as District IV treasurer Lisa Loewe and a past MMC President and current District IV Vice President, Annette Griesbach, traveled to Navasota to attend the annual District IV meeting.
District IV is made up of Waco’s Euterpean Music Club, the Navasota Music Study Club and Rockdale’s MMC. Carol Gessner of Navasota and District IV President presided over the day’s events which included a business meeting with reports of club activities by each of the club presidents, wonderful music provided by members and guests of the host club and a delicious lunch and an address by Connie Randall of Dallas/Fort Worth, the current president of Texas Federation of Music Clubs.
The meeting was held at the historic First Presbyterian Church in Navasota with its beautiful stained-glass windows and Pipe Organ.
Keto Support Group meets Thursdays at 7
A keto support group meets at the First Baptist Church’s south entrance every Thursday at 7 p.m. A newcomers session will start at 6:30 p.m.

AA meeting weekly at Crossroads Church
Rockdale Peace Seekers AA meetings are at Crossroads Bible Church, 811 Burleson St.
The meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
Narcotics Anonymous meeting Thursdays
Narcotics Anonymous meets every Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
