Many local and area organizations have scholarships available in 2019.

Milam Music Fest set March 2 at The Ranch

Several locally-based bands will perform during the Milam Music Fest, scheduled for Saturday, March 2 at The Ranch.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and there’s no cover charge.

Musicians slated to perform are David & Waylon, Robert Lawhon, Treble Soul, Brooke Graham, Elixir and Bluesadillos. Elixir will be featured Thursday, Feb. 28, on the morning news program, 9:30 to 10 a.m., on KTBC, Fox 7, in Austin and will promote the Milam Music Fest, according to Russell Fischer, owner of The Ranch.

The Ranch is located at 415 US 79 in Rockdale, on Thursday, Feb.

Lions Pancake Supper ahead March 5 at park

The 19th annual Rockdale Noon Lions Club’s Pancake & Bacon Supper is set for March 5 in the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park.

Hours are 5 to 7 p.m., price for adults is $8 per plate, $5 for children 6 to 12 and children 5 and under eat free.
