MARC Ride scheduled on June 8 at The Ranch
The traditional ride to benefit the Milam Adult Resource Center (MARC) has been moved to June 8 this year.
“We’ve moved the event in hopes of not conflicting with other local fund-raisers,” Charles Starr, spokesman for Bad to the Bone Riders, who stage the event, said.
As in past years the ride begins and ends at The Ranch, 413 West US 79.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. with first bike out at 11. Fee is $20 for riders, $25 with a passenger, and includes a barbecue meal with all the trimmings.
Plates will be sold to the public at $10 each, starting at 11:30 a.m. until sold out.
Stops will be in Milam, Lee and Burleson counties.
Last bike in is at 4 p.m. Afterwards there will be a barbecue meal prepared by Kathy Quinney and an auction with John Fisher starts at 4:30. There will be music and a drawing for door prizes.
Since the MARC Ride began, $285,955 has been raised for the organization.
For more information about the event, contact Starr at 512-540-2561 or Neal Ferrell at 512-299-7446.
