Cemetery association meet for picnic lunch
A picnic lunch will be served at the annual Liberty Homecoming and Cemetery Association meeting at 11 a.m., Sunday, July 7 at Liberty Church, 4856 FM 3242, Cameron.

Bow Cancer Benefit scheduled July 14th
A benefit for cancer patient Kay Quinney Bow is scheduled for July 14 at The Ranch in Rockdale.
The benefit begins at 11 a.m.
It features a barbecue sale, with all the trimmings, a live auction and silent auction.

Cancer Society hosting washers twice-a-month
The American Cancer Society continues to host twice-monthly washer tourneys at Apache Pass.
Tournaments are the second and fourth Sundays of the month, spokesperson Kim Jeter said.
Next tourney is July 14.
Upcoming tournament dates are July 28, Aug. 11 and 25, Sept. 8 and 22, Oct. 13 and 27, Nov. 10 and 24 and Dec 15.
“Registration is $20 per team, double elimination, with prizes awarded to places 1-3,” she said
Save city hall group seeks old photos
The Save the Old City Hall (STOCH) group would like to collect old photographs and/ or memories from residents about Rockdale City Hall.
The group wants to preserve the 1895 building which, until last month, served as Rockdale’s police station.
