Model Railroad Club
to meet in Cameron
The Milam County Model Railroad Club will meet at the Milam County Railroad Museum in Cameron at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.
The club is open to anyone 14 or older. Only qualification is to be interested in modeling railroads and railroad activities.
Everyone with such an interest is highly encouraged to participate.
Model railroad clubs are excellent vehicles for learning about the hobby and for developing the skills necessary for building model train layouts.
Participants need no experience or skill in model railroading as the club will have various clinics and training sessions on all aspects of the hobby.
It also provides a wonderful venue for people to try out their skills and to learn how to improve their abilities.
Milam County is rich in railroad history and the club helps the Milam County Railroad Museum and the Rockdale I&GN Depot build and maintain displays and conduct programs.
For more club information and to RSVP, contact Dan Fischer at dantxag@gmail.com.—Jamie Larson, club spokesman
