13th annual Father/

Daughter Dance

The 13th annual Father/ Daughter Dance will be held on February 21 at the KC Hall from 7-9 p.m.

The dance benefits the Rockdale Tiger Booster Club’s scholarship fund.

Tickets may be purchased at Mr. Gatti’s, Charming Blossoms and Rockdale signs for $20 per couple and $5 for an additional daughter. Music provided by John and Crissy Flores.

Lions Club set to host

annual pancake supper

The Rockdale Noon Lions Club will host their 20th annual Pancake and Bacon Supper on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 5-7 p.m. in the Rockdale Jr. High Commons.

The Fat Tuesday event features meals for adults for $8, children ages 6-12 for $5, and children five and under eat free.

Local Alcoa Retirees

to meet March 12th

The first meeting of the Rockdale Alcoa retirees will be on Thursday, March 12 at 5 p.m. at The Thorndale Memorial Veterans Hall (former VFW Hall).

There will be a short meeting to elect officers at 5:45 p.m. followed by dinner.

Fried catfish will all the trimmings will be offered. Last names A-L are asked to bring dessert.

Annual dues of $10 will be collected and the dinner is $10 per person.

BBQ chicken dinner

The Milano/Gause Ag Booster Club will host a barbecue chicken dinner at the Rockdale KC Hall on Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To go plates will begin at 11 a.m. Tickets will be pre-sold and you are highly encouraged to purchase them beforehand in order to be guaranteed a delicious Sunday lunch as there will be a limited number of plates that will be sold on the day of the dinner.

Plates are $10. The proceeds benefit the youth in Milano and Gause FFA and 4H.

Washer Tourney at

Apache Pass, Sundays

Sunday washer tournaments will be held at Apache Pass Ice House starting at 5 p.m.

The schedule will be “Bring a Partner” on the second Sunday, and “Draw a Partner” on the fourth Sunday.

Registration starts at 4:30 p.m. $20 per team, double elimination. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.

Master Gardeners plant sale March 7, Cameron

Little River Basin Master Gardeners will have their plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 7 at the Youth Expo Center in Cameron.

The focus will be on native plants which require less watering, in addition to all the bedding plants and roses they usually have.

Experts will be on hand to discuss your plant needs along with short educational presentations.

They accept credit, debit, cash, and checks, and will have a limited supply of wagons. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own wagons.
