Pleasant Retreat hosting chili supper Sept. 26th
Pleasant Retreat UMC will hold its annual chili supper at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept 26.
This will be a drive through event and will last until the chili runs out.
The church is located at 825 CR 458 in Thorndale.
Heavenly Treasures holding sidewalk sales
Heavenly Treasures continues to hold sidewalk sales during September and October on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Tuesdays will be Christmas and Halloween themed and Wednesdays will be for clothing.
Donations may be placed on the back porch any time.
Bushdale Cemetery meeting set for Oct. 3
Bushdale Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting Saturday, Oct. 3, at Peace Lutheran Church fellowship hall.
The meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a potluck luncheon.
Three Girl Scouts registration events
The Milam County Girl Scouts will be registering for the coming year with three events planned. Joining is free and so are the snow cones.
The events will take place in Rockdale, Thorndale and Cameron.
On Sept. 19 in Rockdale at Veteran’s Park in the pavilion from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and at the Thorndale Park pavilion from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Cameron event will be on Sept. 26 at the Cameron City Park pavilion from 12-noon to 2 p.m.
