Gause VFD fundraiser to be held Saturday
The Gause Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual barbecue fundraiser on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at the Gause VFD building at 110 E. Gause Blvd.
Plates are $12 and will include brisket, sausage, beans, potato salad and dessert with all the fixings.
MCT’s ‘Aladdin Jr.’ to start Friday night
The Milam County Theater will present “Aladdin Jr,” a one-act musical adapted from the 1992 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Aladdin, which is an adaptation of the folk tale Aladdin.
The show opens this weekend on Friday night at 6 p.m., Saturday night at 6 p.m. and a Sunday matinee at 3 p.m. And will have the same schedule the following weekend, April 16-18.

AA meets at Crossroads Bible Church weekly
Rockdale Peace Seekers AA meetings are at Crossroads Bible Church, 811 Burleson St.
The meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.
Narcotics Anonymous meets Thursdays
Narcotics Anonymous meets every Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church from 7 to 8 p.m.

Heavenly Treasures shifts their open days
Heavenly Treasures is now only open four days a week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon.
Their April special is $3 bags every Wednesday.
Linwood scholarship applications due April 15
The deadline for application for the Linwood Acres Garden Club scholarship is April 15.
This is open to graduating seniors from Rockdale, Milano and Thorndale who will be majoring in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field.
High school guidance counselors have the applications.
