Community Outreach Thanksgiving dinner
The annual Thanksgiving dinner will again be at the First Baptist Church on Nov. 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Milam County Girl Scouts acts of service
Girl Scouts of Central Texas (GSCTX) are celebrating their centennial, the 100th anniversary of the first Girl Scout troop formed in our area in 1921.
“As part of our centennial celebration, Milam County Girl Scouts have chosen to perform service in Milam County. We are looking to do 100 acts of service in our county. We are providing services for free. It can be for a church, organization, city, individual or group,” said Rachel Owens, Milam County Girl Scouts Service Unit Director.

Alcoa retirees meeting on December 9, 5 p.m.
Rockdale Alcoa Retirees will hold a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Thorndale Veterans Memorial Hall at 5 p.m. The business meeting starts at 5:45 p.m.
A meal will follow the meeting and donations toward hall rental will be accepted.
“Desserts will be from all groups and attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods for area food banks,” according to Doug Williams, president.
Rockdale Ministerial Alliance to hold service
The Rockdale Ministerial Alliance will hold a Thanksgiving service on Tuesday, Nov. 23, at the First Baptist Church at 6 p.m.
Pastor Royal Johnson will deliver the message and afterward a light meal will be served.
A love offering will be taken to support the work of the alliance.

AA meeting weekly at Crossroads Church
Rockdale Peace Seekers AA meetings are at Crossroads Bible Church, 811 Burleson St.
The meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

Narcotics Anonymous meets every Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.

Heavenly Treasures $5 bag days in November
Heavenly Treasures has a new special for November. On Nov. 16 and 30 they will have bags for $5.
They will be closed Nov. 24, 25 and 26 for Thanksgiving.
