MTOL fundraiser on Dec. 12, noon to 4 p.m.
The Milam Touch of Love, a non-profit group that saves domestic pets all over Milam County will have a fundraiser on Dec. 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at Brett’s Backyard Bar-B-Que.
Chili and cornbread will be served for $10 (available all day) and K9 Beer will be provided by the Texas Beer Company.
Santa will also make an appearance and there will be live music. There will also be animals there who are available for adoption.
Boutique Warehouse helps Toy Run D ec. 3
Boutique Warehouse Partners, for the third year will help the Buddy Oney Toy Run by having a Ladies nNight on Dec. 3 from 6 to 9 p.m.
“Bring new, unwrapped toys valued at $25 to donate to the Buddy Oney Toy Run, and be entered into a drawing for Boutique Bucks! One entry for each toy, the more toys the more entries. Drawings to be held every 30 minutes. Come enjoy complimentary grilled hors d’oeurves and margaritas,” according to Emily Ditto, owner of Boutique Warehouse in Gause.

Alcoa retirees meeting on D ecember 9, 5 p.m.
Rockdale Alcoa Retirees will hold a meeting on Thursday, Dec. 9 at the Thorndale Veterans Memorial Hall at 5 p.m. The business meeting starts at 5:45 p.m.
A meal will follow the meeting and donations toward hall rental will be accepted.
“Desserts will be from all groups and attendees are encouraged to bring canned goods for area food banks,” according to Doug Williams, president.
AA meeting weekly at Crossroads Church
Rockdale Peace Seekers AA meetings are at Crossroads Bible Church, 811 Burleson St.
The meetings are scheduled on Tuesdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m.

Heavenly Treasures $ 5 bag days in November
Heavenly Treasures has a new special for November. On Nov. 16 and 30 they will have bags for $5.
They will be closed Nov. 24, 25 and 26 for Thanksgiving.
