A 67-year-old pedestrian was injured Wednesday night after being hit by a pickup in the 1300 block of West Cameron, according to the Rockdale Police Department.
The pedestrian was identified as Bartolome Rodriguez of Rockdale. He was listed in stable but serious condition with extensive injuries to his legs, arms and head.
He was transported by ambulance to Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
Larry McAlister of Beeville, the driver of the pickup that hit Rodriguez, told officers that Rodriguez stepped out in front of traffic. Others on the scene said they saw the same thing the pickup driver said.
A non-injury wreck happened Friday when a white pickup belonging to the City of Rockdale collided with a black pickup in the 1000 block of East Cameron Ave.
FELONY ARRESTS— Brittany Nichole McAdoo, 28, Rockdale, was arrested on Sept. 15 on charges of possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces) and tamper/fabricate physical evidence with intent to impair.
Kory Lynn Shelander, 33, Milano, was arrested Sunday night on charges of evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle and driving with an invalid license.
Police arrested Wayne Albert Franklin, 70, Rockdale, on a charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle.
In all police made 14 arrest in the past week and issued 17 citations with three of those being for speeding.
CALLS FOR SERVICE—Officers responded to 170 calls of which 74 were 911 calls.
