Police arrest six during week; one accident reported

The Rockdale Police Department made six arrests with one each for family violence, assault, possession of a controlled substance (less than 28 grams), public intoxication, driving with license invalid and no driver’s license.

ACCIDENT—Officer Christian Fain responded to a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Cameron Avenue and San Jacinto Drive.

CITATIONS—Eighteen citations were given— eight for speeding, three for expired registration, two for no insurance, and one each for city livestock ordinance, defective lamp/ reflector, driving with no lights when required and operating an ATV on a public roadway.

CALLS—The Rockdale PD also responded to 309 calls for service during the past week, of which 123 were calls to 911.
