On Aug. 12., Officer Christian Fain arrested a 27-yearold Rockdale man at 10:09 p.m. on charges of possession of a controlled substance (1 to 4 grams) and forgery by passing.
A Rockdale man was arrested Sunday at 10:47 a.m. by Officer Dillion Ford for possession of a controlled substance (less than 1 gram).
ACCIDENTS—Officers worked two accidents over the past week.
On Aug. 12, officers responded at 6:35 a.m. to West US 79 and Oak Park One for a two-vehicle wreck.
Minor damage was reported to the vehicles involved with no injuries to drivers.
Later that day at 5:44 p.m., Officer Ford responded to a three-vehicle accident in the 700 block of West U.S. 79.
All three vehicles were able to pull into a nearby parking lot and no injuries were reported.
CITATIONS—Officers issued 33 citations over the week with 10 being for expired registration and another six for speeding.
In all police responded to 249 calls with 93 being 911 calls.
FIRE CALLS—Friday, 11:32 p.m., Rockdale VFD responded to FM 1712 and FM 487 for a grass fire.
Monday, 7:36 p.m., Thorndale VFD responded to Clement Street for a cable line lying in roadway. The line was moved off to side of road and was found to be an old communication line with no power to it.
