Rockdale police have issued a reminder that there are two local curfews in effect.

One citation for violation of curfew was issued this week.

Lt. Stephen Goodrich noted that the city’s juvenile curfew is between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights and 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

He said there is a second, daytime, curfew which only applies to school-age persons and only on school days.

It is in force 8 to 11 a.m. and from 1 p.m. until school is dismissed.

ARRESTS—Police made three felony arrests during the past week as follows:

• Thomas Ray Hobbs, 49, Rockdale, motion to revoke-evading arrest/detention, in custody on $5,000 bond.

• Michael Ray Damron, 46, Rockdale, out-of-county theft of material aluminum/bronze, brass. (less than $20,000)-enhanced, parole violation, in custody, no bond on parole violation, $4,000 bond on other charge.

• Niels Hunt Beery, 64, Rockdale, possession of controlled substance (1 to 4 grams), released on $7,000 bond.

ACCIDENTS—Police were called to a pair of motor vehicle accidents during the seven-day reporting period.

The first call came at 5:36 p.m. Nov. 6 and sent police to the 1000 block of East Cameron Avenue.

Police said vehicles involved were a pickup driven by Johnny Beran of Rock-dale and a car owned by Charles McCartney, also of Rockdale.

Damages were termed minor.

Minor damages were also reported at 3 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot on the southeast corner of West Cameron and Wilcox (US 79 and FM 908) when a parked car owned by Jessie Meeks was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene.

CITATIONS—Police issued 32 speeding tickets during the week, along with six for expired registration, two for failure to report change of address or name and one each for driving the wrong way and driving without liability insurance as required.

SERVICE CALLS—Offi - cers responded to 141 calls for service during the past week and there were 52 calls received through the 911 emergency reporting system.
