Numerous awards—including Officer of the Year and Firefighter of the Year—will be presented Saturday evening at the KC Hall at the 12th annual Police/Firefighter of the Year Banquet.
Doors open at 5 p.m. with a catered meal at 6:30, awards at 7:30 and dance to follow.
In addition to awards, and other recognition, the evening features a barbecue meal, catered by Chris Kelm, and a dance with Kenny Orts.
There are also silent and live auctions.
Tickets are priced at $15 each and are on sale at the police department.

Last year’s winners of the top awards were Sgt. Jody Tillery (police) and Zach Springer (RVFD).
Father-Daughter Dance set Friday
The annual Tiger Booster Club’s Father-Daughter Dance is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the KC Hall.
Price is $20 per couple, $5 for each additional daughter and all ages are welcome to participate.
Tickets may be purchased at Gatti’s Pizza and Rockdale Signs & Photography.
The evening features music by Jon Flores with The Mobile Jukebox.
