Milam County 4-H members competed at the Fort Worth Plant ID Contest on Jan. 20 at the Ft Worth Stock Show. We are extremely proud of our top senior individuals and junior individual who placed first overall and second place overall.
Our top senior individual was Jason Ponnaiya, who won first place and a $4,000 scholarship. Below are the results of these great accomplishments as well as all of the Milam youth who competed.
Plant ID is a contest where youth learn how to identify plants, forbes, woodys and determine their grazing and wildlife value.

Juniors
Third place team—Aaron Ponnaiya (second), Noah Bradley, Luke Holcombe.
Junior Team—Alaina Unnasch, Winston Walzel, Mackenzie Holcombe, James Holcombe.
