The Rockdale ISD’s athletic department has issued a warning to businesses and individuals that a company soliciting for a 2019 Tiger football poster is not authorized to do so by the district.
WARNING—Denise Betchan, Athletic Department administrative assistant, said the solicitation begins “2019 Rockdale High School Football Schedule Posters Go Tigers!!!”
It identifies the solicitor as Greater Solutions LLC and seeks to sell ads on what is touted as football schedule posters for the upcoming season.
Or, as the solicitation phrases it: “the local upcoming high school football season.”
It lists a contact person as Josh Jones, football poster project director.
“We have not authorized this person to do our athletic programs,” Betchan said in an email sent to Tiger Boosters Club members.
The solicitation lists ad prices ranging from $349.50 to $799.50 and claims “we are doing all area high schools, but does not name them. It also includes a generic poster entitled “Anywhere High School.”
It claims ads on the poster will be exclusive with only one type of business accepted per poster, allowing the business to gain a “more personal exposure throughout the community,” noting the absence of competition.
The solicitation promises up to 5,000 posters will be printed.
