Preregistration for free 2024-2025 pre-K and kindergarten will be held on Thursday, April 18 at Rockdale Elementary School from 3:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Parents are asked to bring their child’s birth certificate, social security card, up-to-date shot record, proof of residence (a utility bill works fine) and the parent’s drivers license.
All preregistered students will receive a Rockdale Tiger t-shirt.
MARC open house April 16
MARC will hold an open house on Tuesday, April 16, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Come see how MARC operates with the money they receive every year from the annual MARC Ride.
“We would like everyone to join us and learn more about our organization and the services provided at the center. Refreshments will be served,” said Ann King, president.
Rotary Club to host Earth
Day program
Rockdale Rotary Club will host an event called “Birds ‘n Bees and Lower Property Fees” at Moon Brew Coffee Company on Tuesday, April 16 at 6 p.m. in conjunction with Earth Day 2024.
The program will include money saving topics such as locating and eating wild plants, conservation programs for Milam County, state property tax ag exemption and the wildlife management tax exemption.
