Early voting for the March 6 Republican and Democratic Primaries will begin Tuesday at four locations throughout the county.

It will end on March 2.

Dates and locations:

Rockdale Regional Juvenile Justice Center (696 North FM 487)— 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 20-23 and Feb. 26-March 2.

Milam County Clerk’s Offi ce (107 West Main, Cameron)—8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 20-23; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 24; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 26-March 2.

Thorndale VFW Hall (304 East Moerbe)—9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 20-23 and Feb. 26-March 2.

Buckholts Community Center (110 West Main)—9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Feb. 20-23 and Feb. 26-March 2. Final day to apply for a mail-in ballot (received, not postmarked) is Feb. 23.

JUDGE RACE—Steve Young and Frank Summers are vying for the Republican nomination for county judge to replace incumbent Dave Barkemeyer.

Democrat Jared Melde has fi led in the Democratic Primary for the county judge nomination. GOP—Republican Primary races:

• Pct. 2 Commissioner, incumbent Donald Shuffield, Doug Baker and James Condry.

• Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace, Greg Hoelscher, Robert Hollas.

• Pct. 2 Justice of the Peace, incumbent Sam Berry, Don Schuerman.

• Treasurer, incumbent Linda Acosta, Jennifer “Jenger” Epperson-Moran.

• County clerk, Jodi Morgan (incumbent Democrat Barbara Vansa is passing up the ballot).

• District clerk, Karen Berry (incumbent).

• J-P Precinct 3, Andy Isaacs (incumbent).

• J-P Precinct 4, incumbent Gary Northcott, currently serving as a Democrat.

DEMOCRAT—Pct. 4 Commissioner Jeff Muegge has fi led for a new term.
