Sam Pickett is a Democratic Party candidate for the Precinct 4 constable position.
That office is now held by Michael Moehling, who is running unopposed on the Republican ballot.
Moehling was first elected as a Democrat in 2016.

MORE—There’s a lot more than Milam County races on the ballot, of course. This is a presidential election year and the two parties have a total of 24 candidates on the primary ballots vying for the office now held by Republican Donald Trump.
Trump is challenged by six candidates, including former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld, and Milam Republicans also have the option of voting “uncommitted.”
There are 17 Democrats hoping to be the nominee including all the perceived front-runners. The ballot includes former Vice President Joe Biden, Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar, and former Mayors Pete Buttigieg and Michael Bloomberg.
SENATE, MORE— Incumbent U. S. Senator John Cornyn has four opponents on the GOP ballot.
There are 12 Democrats seeking the office now held by Cornyn.
It’s a crowded field for U. S. Representative District 17 where incumbent Republican Bill Flores is retiring.
Twelve Republicans and three Democrats are hoping to succeed him.
There’s already a November contest for State Representative District 5.
Incumbent Republican Terry Wilson will face Democrat Jessica Tiedt in November. They are the only candidates on their respective party ballots.
There’s no Texas Senate race in 2020. Texas senators serve four-year terms and Republican Charles Schwertner was re-elected in 2018. That term expires in 2022.
There are sample ballots for both parties on page 1D.
