CAMERON—A 33-year-old Rockdale man received a two-year prison term after entering an “open” plea to a charge of sexual assault of a child.

Nathan Charles Arbuckle entered the plea before 20th District Judge John Youngblood.

A total of nine cases were disposed of in 20th District Court during the past week.

They were listed by Prosecutor Bill Torrey and Special Prosecutor Claire Carter as follows:

• Chrystal Michelle Rivison, 38, Thrall, two-year prison term after pleading to forgery of fi nancial instrument–enhanced (elderly). She was also sentenced to a six-month state jail division term after pleading guilty to forgery of fi nancial instrument

• Forest James Hardy Jr., 17, Troup, two years deferred adjudication probation, successful completion of anger management ordered to pay a $1,000 fi ne after pleading guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, attempted criminal mischief.

• Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, 37, Corsicana, three years deferred adjudication probation ordered to pay a $1,500 fi ne, $180 restitution to DPS lab after pleading guilty to possession of controlled substance (4-200 grams).

• Eddie Wayne Wright, 66, Gause, fi ve years deferred adjudication probation ordered to pay a $1,500 fi ne after pleading guilty to prohibited weapon.

• Jason Mark Lagrone, 45, Gause, one-year county jail term, probated for two years, successful completion of anger management classes, ordered to pay a $4,000 fi ne after pleading guilty to a lesser included Class A misdemeanor, assault–family violence.

• Casey David Hopson, 32, Rockdale, two-year state jail term, probated fi ve years, successful completion of theft aversion course $1,250 fi ne, $4,087.58 restitution to the victims after pleading guilty to burglary of building. He was also sentenced to a two-year state jail term, probated fi ve years, substance abuse evaluation $1,250 fi ne, $180 restitution to DPS lab after pleading guilty to possession of controlled substance (less than one gram).

• Samantha Lynn Smith, 25, Milano, three years deferred adjudication, intermediate sanction facility, $1,500 fi ne after pleading guilty to bail jumping–failure to appear; also, two-year state jail term probated three years, with $1,500 fi ne, $183.16 restitution to victim after pleading guilty to theft (less than $2,500) with prior convictions.

• Sherman Tate Freeman, 40, Cameron, 180-day state jail term after pleading guilty to evading arrest with prior conviction.
