POLICE REPORT
Rockdale Police made an arrest Monday into images found on a cell phone and Lt. Stephen Goodrich said additional charges are expected to be filed after the phone is examined forensically by a state agency.
Goodrich said police received a complaint about photos being taken of children in a household.
Wayne Slaughter, 54, of Rockdale was charged with invasive visual recording.
Goodrich said more information from the ongoing investigation is expected by next week.
PHONY—Another phony bill turned up in Rockdale during the past week, this one resulting in an arrest.
Police said Mark Ramos, 56, of Rockdale, was charged with forgery of a financial instrument. He is being held in the Milam County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bond.
Goodrich said the arrest involved a phony $100 at a local business.
“Again, this was the movie money which we have seen a lot of recently,” he said.
ACCIDENTS—Only accident reported within the Rockdale city limits over the past eight days was at 3:34 p.m. Nov. 27 in front of Dollar General. Drivers were listed as Pete Ramirez of Rockdale and Christopher Rowson of Austin.
INCIDENTS—Police made an arrest for assault of a family member causing bodily injury Sunday after responding to what was termed a domestic incident.
Other incidents investigated during the week included animal at large, assault by contact, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.
CITATIONS—Police issued 48 citations over the eight-day reporting period, including 31 for speeding, four for displaying expired registration, three for assault by contact/threat, two each for no driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia and one each for failure to maintain financial responsibility and failure to report change of address/ name.
SERVICE CALLS— Police responded to 149 calls for service and 106 calls were answered through the 911 emergency system.
