An outcry by three “minor females” in Lee County last week led the Milam County Sheriff’s Department to arrest two Rockdale teens on felony sex trafficking charges, while another was charged with indecent assault, a misdemeanor.

Hunter Gray Pruitt, 18, was charged with aggravated sexual assault of child, and three count of engage-conduct/sexual trafficking child.

He was released on $35,000 bond.

Jamar Zamora, 17, was charged with two counts of sexual assault of child and three counts of engage-conduct/sexual trafficking child.

He was released after posting $55,000 bond.

White said the other person—19-year-old Jared Rivera—was charged with indecent assault, a misdemeanor.

He was released after posting $3,000 bond.

“OUTCRY”—White said the investigation was begun by Lexington police.

“After receiving an outcry from the three minor females, Lexington police began an investigation but soon determined the alleged criminal activities had occurred in Milam County,” Sheriff White said.

He said Milam County deputies obtained the forensic interview with the victims and continued the investigative efforts.

Sheriff White said Capt. John Mendoza of Criminal Investigations “reviewed victim statements and reached out to the allege offenders to get their side of the allegations being made against them.”

White said the three suspects “refused to meet with investigators and advised they would rather consult with legal representation first.”

According to the sheriff, Capt. Mendoza consulted with the Milam County District Attorney’s Office and it was then decided to proceed with filing the charges.
