Rockdale police said a family incident in which a woman was punched in the face and threatened with a gun drew an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge Friday.
Lt. Stephen Goodrich said Tyler Burge, 27, was also charged with interfering with an emergency request for assistance.
He remained in custody as of presstime Tuesday in lieu of $10,000 bond.
A traffic stop Thursday resulted in an arrest for possession of cocaine, THC oil and marijuana, Goodrich said.
Leonardo Agoste-Centeno, 29, of Victoria, was also charged with unlawfully carrying a weapon.
He was released after posting $18,000 bond.
ACCIDENTS—Police were called to three traffic accidents during the past week.
Vehicles operated by Thomas Harris Jr. and Daniel Brooks, both of Rockdale, were in collision at 3:24 p.m. Nov. 6 in front of Tractor Supply.
Police said there were no injuries.
Minor damages were reported in a two-vehicle collision in the 900 block of East Cameron Avenue (US
79) at 12:49 p.m. Sunday.
Police listed drivers as Jose Diaz and Valerie Shelander, both of Rockdale.
A two-vehicle collision was reported in the Brookshire Bros. parking lot at 9:01 a.m. Monday. Drivers were listed as Sarah Handley of Lufkin and Lois Powell of Rockdale.
MISSING—Goodrich said two missing person reports were cleared by police during the week.
He said a juvenile reported missing has been located.
Another “missing person” report was cleared when an individual was located and determined “not to be suicidal” as had been feared, Goodrich said.
CITATIONS—Police issued 42 citations during the past seven-day period, including 28 speeding tickets.
SERVICE CALLS— Officers responded to 169 calls for service during the week and there were 78 calls received through the 911 emergency system.
