Free, fun musical: Uke-Stravaganza Sunday at 3 p.m. at Kay Theater

Matinee Musical Club will sponsor Uke-Stravaganza 2 at the historic Kay Theater, 350 N. Main Street, at 3 p.m. Sunday. The event is free.
Ukulele lessons for 10 interested players will be given at 1 p.m. with the ukuleles provided. This group will perform at the 3 p.m. show.
Featured acts will be:
• The Oompah Ukes— Ukuleles are billed as “happy instruments” and polka is “happy music” and the Oompah Ukes are Central Texas’ only ukulele polka band.
• The Communities in Concerts Band—This 25-member band (give or take a few) from Rockdale and neighboring towns offers a variety of music, from patriotic marches to show tunes, pop and jazz.
• The Wilmans—This duo puts a twist on old and new classics, combining their ukes, voices and passion for music.
• Sing-a-long—Audience participating with the performers in a fun finale.
Refreshments will follow.
