Painted eggs program topic at city library
A “master egg artist” who created the 41st Commemorative Egg for an American First Lady, will present a program at 6 p.m. Thursday at the city library.
Deborah Grassel’s predominant form of art for the past 21 years has been egg art. She obtained her masters of egg art in carving, filigree, beaded and diorama and has created works of art in many categories.
The Commemorative Egg tradition began at the 1977 White House Egg Roll and Grassel created the 2018 egg for First Lady Melania Trump.
It’s a rhinestone-encrusted work entitled “Wings of Prayer.”
