Minerva VFD

Karl Shiflett & Friends performed a bluegrass showcase at the Kay Theater in a fundraiser benefiting the Minerva Volunteer Fire Department. This event was brought to the community by Jason Jenkins, Edward Jones Financial Advisor, whose brother Jake Jenkins used to play with Karl Shiflett’s band. Shiflett & Friends played a tribute to Jake. Jason even joined on stage to sing a rendition of Stay All Night, Stay a Little Longer.

“The Kay Theater was happy to donate the space for this event as it is our mission to bring entertainment and promote the arts in our rural community,” said Kay Theater President, Brian Beard. In total, the event raised $2,000 for the Minerva VFD. Additional donations can be sent to Minerva VFD, 466 Cedar Grove Road, Rockdale.
