Alcoa retirees meet June 13
Rockdale Alcoa retirees will meet on Thursday, June 13, at the Thorndale Veteran’s Memorial Hall. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a business meeting beginning at 5:45 p.m.
Meals will be $15 and the dessert group is last names M-Z.

MARC ride set for June 8
The 23rd annual MARC Ride, which helps fund the Milam Adult Resource Center (MARC), is scheduled for June 8 at The Ranch.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. and there will be a live auction after the ride at 4 p.m. with a barbecue meal for the public starting at 11:30 a.m. until sold out. Plates are $15.
There will be awards for the oldest rider, oldest bike, youngest rider and MARC consumers’ choice.
Stops along the way include Cindy’s Hawg Hangout, Nat’s, Cliff’s Tavern, the VFW Hall and back to The Ranch.
Short sleeved t-shirts are available for $20.

Girl Scouts meet May 28
A joint meeting for Rockdale’s Girl Scout Troop 12345 and Thorndale’s Troop 34000 will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Murray Street Church of Christ.

CASA pancake breakfast
June 13th
CASA of Milam County will hold a pancake breakfast on June 13 from 6 to 8 a.m. at the Cameron Volunteer Fire Department. Plates are $5 and will be served by Justice System employees and the Cameron VFD.
