Lions’ annual
soup suppers
start Thursday
The Rockdale Noon Lions Club’s annual soup suppers, a delicious winter tradition, begin Thursday in the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park and continue every Thursday through Jan. 31.
Price is $8 per person and includes roll/cornbread, tea/water and dessert. Hours are 5 to 7 p.m. and soup options are:
Thursday—Potato soup, tomato basil, beef and vegetable stew.
Jan. 17—Chicken and dumplings, chili, minestrone.
Jan. 24—Taco soup, chicken-noodle, broccoli and cheese.
Jan. 31—Potato soup, chicken and dumplings, beef and vegetable stew.
All proceeds raised at the soup dinners will go to the Rockdale Noon Lions Eyesight Program, supporting children in the community.
