School supply drive on Monday
Murray Street Church of Christ will hold its annual School Supply Drive on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Church Annex.
Students who need assistance with obtaining their school supplies are encouraged to attend.
Youth cheer and football fundraiser set for Saturday
Rockdale Community Market will hold a youth football and cheer hamburger fundraiser on Saturday at Cardinal Roofing, 1613 W. Cameron Ave. starting at 10:30 a.m. until sold out.
Hamburgers will be grilled to order and come with a bag of chips and a drink for $10. Cheeseburgers are $11.
School supply giveaway at VFW to be held Saturday
Rockdale’s VFW Post 6525 is holding their annual school supply drive on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon or while supplies last.
Members will be handing out supplies to students of all ages.
Backpack drive set for Saturday at market
Rockdale Community Market is holding a backpack drive this Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon.
The market seeks new or gently used backpacks of all kinds.
Night of Peace on September 27
Mark your calendars for Rockdale Earth Day’s second annual A Night of Peace on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Wolf Park.
The program will begin at 8 p.m. followed by light refreshments.
