Night of Peace set for Saturday
Mark your calendars for Rockdale Earth Day’s second annual A Night of Peace on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Wolf Park.
The program will begin at 8 p.m. followed by light refreshments. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the Kay Theater.
Flu shots at Senior Center October 2
Rockdale Multi-Service Center will hold a flu shot clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 2, sponsored by Sotera Health Care.
Attendees must bring Medicare or Medicaid card. Call the Senior Center to get on the list at 512-446-2666.
Minerva Homecoming October 6th
The annual Minerva Homecoming will be held on Sunday, Oct. 6, at the Minerva Community Center, 378 County Road 232 Loop.
“Bring your family and friends and enjoy a day of visiting with friends and neighbors. At noon there will be a very brief Minerva-Midway Cemetery meeting followed by a covered dish lunch. Bring photos and memories to share along with your favorite dish(es),” said Deborah Dean.

Gospel music at San Gabriel Baptist Sept. 28
San Gabriel Baptist Church will host gospel singing with traditional and contemporary music at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28.
A light supper will be provided after the music. The church is located at 264 CR 421A in Thorndale.
