Water is topic for program at city library
Doug Box, education coordinator for the Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District (POSGCD) will present a water conservation program at 6 p.m. Thursday at the city library.
Topics include irrigation alternatives for the rainfall harvester, installing your own rainwater harvesting system, saving water in your garden, becoming an aquifer conservancy partner and more.
Box has written six books on photography and has owned several studios.
Lions pancake supper Tuesday
The 19th annual Rock-dale Noon Lions Club’s Pancake and Bacon Supper is set for Tuesday in the New Salem Clubhouse at Fair Park.
Hours are 5 to 7 p.m., price for adults is $8 per plate, $5 for children 6 to 12 and children 5 and under eat free.
