The annual Rockdale Fair and Rodeo kicked on Wednesday with family night. Musical acts are Marcos Orozco on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 10 p.m., on Friday, Oct.18 Crossroads and T. Graham Brown from 8 to 10 p.m. and T.G. Sheppard from 10:30 to midnight. Saturday, Oct. 19 showcases Braxton Keith from 9 to 10:30 p.m. and Stoney Larue from 11 to 12:30 p.m.
Attendees will enjoy the Youth Livestock Show, the Ag Mechanics display, carnival, food vendors, baked goods contest, barbecue cookoff, arts and crafts show, cornhole, washer and domino tournaments, inflatables for the kids, a car show, barrel and team roping events and a rodeo each night starting at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold their annual food drive for the Rockdale food pantry by passing out bags and flyers to neighborhoods around the city which will be picked up this Saturday, Oct. 19 from porches or mailbox areas starting at noon.
The church will also have a table at Walmart from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for collecting food donations. Donations will also be accepted at the church from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 19 at 310 Calhoun Drive.

The Milam County Genealogical Society will hold their next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. at the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library.
